Acne on back or bacne is a real problem for some people. One of the reasons why backs get affected is because the skin is thicker here than on other parts of the body, making it easier for the sebaceous glands to become plugged. Often it is present because of the skins hypersensitivity to things like clothing, detergents, body fluids and stress. Physical exertion that leads to increased sweating can aggravate the condition. Some things proven to be helpful are the following:

1. Wear fresh clean clothes. Use a detergent free wash cycle after the wash cycle on shirts, bras, t-shirts and bed sheets to eliminate any soap residue that might irritate the skin.

2. Take showers immediately after exercise to remove any bacterial activity on the skin. Pat dry or blow dry with cool air to avoid spreading the bacteria. Do not rub with a towel.

3. Follow a detoxification program. Toxins in the body manifest themselves in the skin. After detoxification, introduce food items systematically and not their effect on your skin.

4. Use antibacterial soap to clean the skin and exfoliate the skin at least twice weekly.

5. Wear cotton clothes instead of synthetics. Sleep on cotton sheets and try to refrain from sleeping on your back. Cotton is cooler and reduces sweating.

6. Probably the most important treatment is your diet. Many foods have an impact on the skin. Eliminate sugar, refined carbohydrates, and sweets from your diet. Drink at least 1.5 liters of water daily.

7. Get plenty of exercise. Your skin is an organ and thrives with good blood circulation.
