To remove eczema and stop the pain or misery can be done in as little as 4 simple steps. But what are the causes? What can I do to remove eczema and prevent its return. Lets find out. Heres 4 tips.

What Are Eczema Indications?

Symptoms usually are:
*Redness
*Swelling
*Crusting
*Flaking
*Blistering
*Cracking
*Oozing
*Bleeding

Bleeding is usually because of scratching or rubbing too hard. Patting your skin is the gentlest way to treat an already irritated condition.

What Causes Eczema?

There are many causes of eczema. Eczema is a word or expression used to cover many conditions. Sometimes it is caused by an underlying health condition. Your health care provider may be able to determine if that is the case. Atopic eczema is what many people have unless it is winter or you have been subjected to some kind of allergen.

The opinion of some health experts is that the cause is bad or poor nutrient consumption. Being undernourished can also lead to health problems.

4 Tips – To Remove or Relieve Eczema

Tip 1 – Cleansing
Detergents should not be used when dealing with a dry, itchy or eczema-like condition. The only time a cleansing agent should be used is when water by itself will not clean the area. Frankly, too much cleansing can actually elevate the irritation and cause more dry, itchy skin. Showering 2-3 times everyday is usually not necessary and could wash away the natural oils the body has to help with the condition.

Bonus Tip: Dont purchase any cleansing product that has sodium lauryl sulfate in it. Also stay away from all petrochemicals. Petroleum jelly or petrolatum is in many products but try to find alternative ingredients. Super-fatted goat milk soap is a wise choice for many of us.

Cleanse wisely. Your skin will respond positively if you do.

Tip 2 – Eating
Food may be a factor that causes allergies or may be just an intolerance to some ingredient. Testing is not easy and takes time. One possible way to discover your food problem is to keep a food diary for several weeks. Sometimes this will identify the culprit. Some of the culprits are: eggs, nuts, corn, coffee, dairy and wheat. Wheat was my problem. I found out I was gluten intolerant. Your doctor can do a blood test that should show if you are or not.

Using the food diary to keep track of what you eat will help. My suggestion is to eliminate all of the above possible food culprits. Wait a couple of weeks then start eating one at a time for a week or two. Record the results. You may be surprised at what is causing the problems. Have patience your skin will appreciate the new look.

Tip 3 – Supplements
When you go through the above food elimination process be sure to include a good quality multi-nutrient in your diet. Do this even after the food situation is resolved. Your skin needs the help. One of the best supplements is omega3/DHA fish oil. I take 2 capsules daily and it has made a big difference. My mirror appreciates it.

Tip 4 – Moisturizing
Most moisturizers that I tried did nothing for the skin. Avoid products that have mineral oil or petrolatum. What you need is what I found in a body lotion. It contains natural, not synthetic, ingredients like jojoba, grape seed and olives oils. These are all plant-based oils that are natural and non-irritating. Another good find was manuka honey. It has been found to help acne, eczema and psoriasis.

What I use is an Age Defense Body Lotion that has done wonders for irritated skin conditions. My tested strong recommendation is to follow the above four tips faithfully. Also see my website for the source of a good omega3 fish oil and body lotion that will definitely help your skin return to a healthy, radiant glow.
